After 4 years of working with Shoalhaven City Council and the RMS, Stage 1 of the Shoalhaven Equestrian Centre  is coming along nicely. In the last few weeks anyone driving along the highway towards Berry from Nowra would have seen all the heavy machinery levelling two of the centre arenas. The main arena (145m x 100m) is large enough for either 4 dressage arenas or 2 showjumping rings. Arena 2 (110m x 60m) will be primarily used as a warm-up area but in the master plan this is the area intended for the indoor arena.

When the contractors return after 9th January, work will begin on spreading the topsoil followed by all the turf sprigging. Then it’s wait and water until the grass provides a good coverage.

Included in Stage 1 Works is construction of a double indented entrance way, storage shed, wash bay and spectator shelter.

Hopefully we should be able to use the Stage 1 area by mid year. It’s going to be wonderful!

As you can imagine, we’re all very excited.
