X-Country Derby Day

A perfect introduction to riding a cross country course. 

Date: Sunday 23 July 23 

Entries close: Sunday 16 July ’23 

Course Heights: 45-50cm, 60cm, 80cm and 95cm. 

The course will consist of 12 obstacles, the first jump being a show jump and the remaining 11 obstacles being mobile x/country jumps. The length of the course will be approximately 1200m. 

Cost: BRC members – $25 / round, Non BRC members – $30 / round. Plus a compulsory admin & ground fee of $15 / rider. 

Start Time: 9:30am but this may change depending upon the number of entries received.

Conditions of Entry

• Riders must be members of EA to participate in this event. 
• All riders must wear a 2023 EA compliant back protector. 
• Entries limited to a total of 65 rounds.
• Classes will be run as per program. 
• Maximum of 2 rounds per horse, over 2 heights. Riders can ride the same height twice, with only the first round being competitive.
• Ribbons to 5th place based on optimum time plus penalties on course. No X/C watches permitted.
• Draw will be emailed to riders after entries have closed.
