Volunteering
Volunteers — “the backbone of every club”
Every Club relies on its volunteers for its success. The fact that ours is so successful is due in no small part to the great efforts of our executive, the committee and the many volunteers who help us.
Without the support of volunteers, Berry Riding Club would not be able to offer such an exciting and diverse range of events. Your time is greatly appreciated by us.
If you would like to volunteer for one or more of our upcoming events, please don’t hesitate to contact our Secretary – volunteering is a great way for you to see what goes on with equestrian events (and you get a fantastic close up view of the action and FREE lunch).

Benefits of volunteering
Did you know that as a volunteer:
- You are fully covered by our insurance with EA NSW?
- You are eligible for registration with EA NSW’s volunteer database?
- You will be in the running for EA NSW’s prestigious and exciting annual awards?
- You don’t need to know how to ride?
- …and most importantly – you will be a key to our club’s ongoing running of future events?

Judy Sweeney, formally recognised
Our hard working Secretary, Judy Sweeney, was formally recognised for all her hard work and effort that she devotes to Berry Riding Club and other associated horse events at the EA Award Ceremony that was held on the 4th February, 2010 at Homebush Bay. After being named NSW Dressage Volunteer of the Year (2009) it was announced that Judy had won the overall NSW EA Volunteer of the Year (2009).
Judy was up against volunteers from all the EA equestrian disciplines meaning Judy was up against some very tough competition! All members of the Berry Riding Club will agree that this recognition was long overdue for our wonderful Secretary. Berry Riding Club is most definitely privileged to have such an amazing woman associated with our club.
Get in touch
We love to receive feedback with suggestions on how to continue providing riding fun and good experiences.
Please note - we are not a riding school, and do not provide horses for lessons or instruction. If you wish to go riding and do not have your own horse, we recommend you contact a local riding school. The closest is Regal Riding School at Shoalhaven Heads.
