Good progress has been made on the ongoing reform and restructure of Equestrian Australia, and on behalf of the Board, I wanted to take this opportunity to provide you with an update.

Australian Eventers dominate at Land Rover Horse of the Year

It was a great three days in the office for our Senior Eventers competing in the CCI4* at the Land Rover Horse of the Year in New Zealand.

National Integrity Committee Update 

The National Integrity Committee held its inaugural meeting in October 2023 and has been working tirelessly over the past six months establishing the Committee, updating policies and

Jodie McKeone’s Triumphant Return to Exloo

Australia’s Para Driving superstar Jodie McKeone recently left her Macedon Ranges property in Victoria and returned to Exloo in The Netherlands where she previously enjoyed great success.

Competing at FEI level

If you are planning to compete at FEI level in 2024 there are a number of things that need to be in place, including current FEI Athlete and Horse Registrations and Horse Passports and FEI Recognition Cards (where appropriate). Lead times apply.

Endurance – an adventure and a partnership

Equestrian Australia (EA) is calling for In Australia, there is an upsurge of interest in Endurance riding, and you can see why, as the discipline offers so much for riders who enjoy spending time with their horse and many hours in the saddle taking in nature’s pleasures.

Incident Reporting

EA’s incident report Form 08 is mandatory to report all incidents, that occur at an EA affiliated equestrian activity and must be completed within 24hrs. Find more information and fact sheets at the link below

2024 FEI WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships for Young Horses

Equestrian Australia’s World Young Horse Selection Policy for the 2024 FEI WBFSH World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses to be held at Ermelo (NED) on 4-8 September 2024, has now been released.

FEI Vaulting Stewards Course

Equestrian Australia hosted an FEI Vaulting Stewards Course 16 March 2024. The course, conducted by John Eccles (GBR) was refresher for existing FEI Vaulting Stewards.

Reminder to complete FEI Online yearly CES exam

The FEI have compiled all information on the Competency-Based Evaluation System on the FEI website. 

To officiate at events taking place after 31 March 2024, Officials must have passed the CES Assessment.
