A message from the Chair
As Chair of Equestrian Australia, I am pleased to share the outcomes of our 2024 Strategic Forum, which brought together representatives from State Branches, Discipline Committees, and key stakeholders across our sport.
Our discussions centred on three core strategic pillars that will guide our organisation forward.
Insurance Survey
As a part of EA’s work to provide continued value-add offerings for our membership, we are in discussions with Marsh Insurance Brokers to provide an insurance option for Equine Mortality Insurance cover. To assist Marsh with understanding the membership profile for Mortality Insurance needs and the future development and design of the product, we invite our members to complete a short 1-minute survey. This link is open until Friday January 31, 2025, and your input is appreciated.
Coach of the Month
Paula De lacovo
Equestrian Australia congratulates Victorian coach Paula De lacovo for being nominated by her peers and becoming the EA Coach of the Month for December 2024.
FEI Registrations Now Open
The FEI have opened registration renewals for 2025. The cost to EA members of renewing their horse or athlete FEI registration is $45.
Updates to Helmet Standards
Equestrian Australia is updating its helmet standards in light of recent changes to the FEI standards.

Expressions of Interest Open to become a EA Para-Equestrian Classifier
The Sport of Para-Equestrian is looking for Physiotherapists or Doctors who are interested in gaining qualifications to become an accredited Para-Equestrian Classifier.

Ginger Kennett invited to Vaulting World Cup
After a great year of competition in 2024, Australian Vaulter Ginger Kennett has been invited by the FEI to compete at the Vaulting World Cup in Basel, Switzerland from 2 – 6 April 2025 and has accepted this offer.
