E A Monthly News June

Jul 29, 2025 | Uncategorized

From the CEO

Welcome to the June edition of our Connections Newsletter. It has been another busy month across the sport, with plenty happening both at home and overseas.

The Melbourne International 3 Day was a fantastic event thanks to all the hard work by the organising committee, volunteers and officials. Congratulations to Sophia Hill and Tulara Baltango who took out top honours in the Pryde’s EasiFeed CCI4*-L.

Overseas, our Australian Eventers also put in some impressive performances at Luhmühlen in Germany, holding their own against some of the best in the world with Andrew Cooper and Sharvalley Thunder securing third place in the CCI 4*-S.

Make sure to check out our Coach of the Month article on Megan Jones. Megan is well known for her Eventing success, but you might not know just how long she’s been passionate about coaching.

Please also see below an important reminder about the rules around trimming hair inside a horse’s ears, which can now lead to elimination.

Thanks as always for being part of the EA community, we hope you enjoy the update.

Sam Jones
CEO Equestrian Australia
